I bought two of these boxes. One was for a 4 liter Hamilton Beach slow cooker and it fitted perfectly. The other was for a different brand 6 liter slow cooker and was so narrow that I only use the case for storage; I doubt I can pull out the stove when it's full of food. So I'm wondering if the holder will even work with a 7 or 8 liter machine as advertised. I don't really need it as a suitcase; I bought them because I want to protect my devices from dust during storage. Carrying it by the straps when empty and by the handles when full seems to be the best way to avoid suitcase wear and tear. There are slots on the sides so the handles of the plate protrude. There is also a small mesh flap that you can use with Velcro to protect a small device. The material is similar to ripstop nylon. Overall I'm happy with it, but it would be nice if the manufacturer made a simpler (and less expensive) dust cover like the ones you can buy to cover toasters and blenders.
