The bristles on this brush (both sides) are much softer than expected. This brush replaces my old one that had very stiff bristles. They were passable if I heavily lathered the brush up with soap.These bristles do just as good a job, but they start off being soft. This is a huge improvement over my old brush. I'm so happy I bought this brush.
