I bought this for my post neutered pup and while I will say it's a lot more comfortable and easier than a traditional cone, it's not perfect. I would say if he was ONLY neutered it would work, but since he also got wolf claws he could still reach those bites. Especially when he turned around and he could reach his feet when the cone opening was in the right position. He was also fascinated and obsessed with Velcro! Overall he didn't hate it and didn't try to rip it off and didn't seem to mind when it was on so it was fine for short term use but I wouldn't use it if you need it for more than a week . I have since passed it on to a friend to use for her cat's upcoming surgery as my pup had outgrown him by the time we were done with this.
