Gonna keep this review short: bummed out that the material imparts an odor / flavor to the ice.I’m pretty much giving up on silicon molds now.I’ve got super cheap hard plastic molds from Daiso that impart no smell / taste to the ice. They’re easy enough to use, just not quite as huge (or round) as these SUMPRI molds can create. On the plus side, the SUMPRI molds are easy to use, the spheres are pretty spherical (initially look a little like acorns when they come out, especially if you don’t chip off the top nubbin) but close enough once they’re floating in your whiskey. But I can’t tolerate the weird smell on the ice and it impacts the enjoyment of my drink. If you’re having a mixed drink, it’s tolerable. If you’re sensitive to plastic odors, avoid these.
