I have found that the ball joint diameter on these third party mounts is out of spec. They are just too small and will dangle in the GPS connector resulting in the GPS just hanging/flopping face down. I now see this flaw being mentioned in this product by other Revain reviewers. And yes, my specific Garmin model IS on the list of compatible devices posted here by the seller. However, to be honest, the actual "suction power" of this mount seemed excellent. I gave them back to Revain. Now I'm paying double to try the OEM Garmin Large Suction Cup Mount (Cup Diameter 7.0cm). Compared to Garmin's "standard" 5.4 cm diameter OEM suction cup, this larger suction cup is designed to provide "extra holding power" for larger GPS models. Both new and old GPS mounts are 17.2mm in diameter. TOGETHER: If you want to experiment with this, you can "secure" a loose Garmin gimbal with a ring/halo of duct tape... and it will work just fine.
