Review on πŸ“Ά Enhance and Expand Your Network with TP-Link AV600 Powerline WiFi Extender and WiFi Booster (TL-WPA4220 KIT) by Jnis Kalni ᠌

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

Declared speed up to 600 megabits on powerline. With a symmetrical Internet of 300 megabits (300 to me and 300 from me, and not like on PON, where you will have 30 megabits with incoming 200 :) the first measurement gave 15/30 megabits incoming / outgoing. I was upset, but decided to remove the interfering elements (an extra tee) and the speed immediately increased to 25/48 megabits (should pull 4k video without outside clients). It's about the quality of the wiring and communication on it. But, of course, there are no 600 for you. Then I continued the experiment and stuck the devices on one wire, without intermediaries in the form of 2 machines. Voila! 70/95 megabits. This is already a great result. I drove on the last configuration (without machines) Wi-Fi 2.4GHz. We have a valid speed of 27/90 megabits on the clogged spectrum, respectively.

Pros
  • For two devices real plug and play. 2 Etherent ports on the TL-WPA4220 module (one for a TV set, the second for a set-top box, for example). The presence of a Wi-Fi module. Responsible compact dimensions (in all the photos they seem gigantic, but there is no comparison with sockets. Therefore, I am attaching a photo.) Web server for setting up wifi.
Cons
  • The kit comes with 100 megabit patch cords with 4 crimped cores. A speed of 600 megabits is achievable very conditionally. Lack of 5GHz wifi module.
