I have a subwoofer with a single RCA connector on the back and I couldn't run music through the subwoofer using a clean and solid connection , as I literally had a very long main speaker wire coming from the back of one of the main speakers in my bedroom 2.0. I stripped the end of the wire to wrap it around the RCA connector and just plugged the other end into the connector and then taped it around. haha *laughs in danger*. This crappy setup worked great for me most of the time, but then someone or something moved the subwoofer or the wires sticking out behind it, and then it wouldn't stay in and the bass kept dropping out, so I got tired of it. repeatedly, and a low electrical hum came through the subwoofer. So I bought these, they were very good, I had a nice and secure fit on the RCA jack and I can cut wires and get a real connection point with them and I've never had wires. pulled away from the subwoofer and made humming noises and all. I never had to touch them once installed! The only thing that could be improved is how it held the connection to the speaker wire, it looks a bit flimsy but works great.
