The way this character interacts with the game should be the standard for amiibo functionality. It changes the game a lot, and all in a positive way. Leveling up a character unlocks a new relic, ability, or aesthetic change, and you can freely switch between them at any time, and everything is saved to the character. You can unlock co-op play on Wii U and use all Shovel Knight gear and costumes with a buddy and use your own knight in save files on 3DS and Wii U. Overall absolutely stunning looks and sculpt quality and even more amazing on functionality. If you're enjoying the game and think you're done with Shovel Knight, this is all you need and more. At least it was for me!
