Bought as my old one was due to retire (2 years of use), bought this one because the folding handle looked neat. That's how I got it out of the plastic. Has never been used. The shipping box is intact. The shanks of the stylus feel weak due to the weight of the disc and stylus. I know that condensation during cooking will make the disc heavier. So if it breaks before then I'll have to see what happens to all that weight. We're working on a refund. I need to find a printer to print a shipping label so I can process returns. I would not buy this brand, in the future I will look for a more suitable pen.
