Need to varnish in my review

I like the look of this rustic tray but you do have to varnish it yourself. It has no shine or protection. The inside bottom planks are thinner than expected. The sides are more durable. I am using as decoration mostly and not going to be carrying items around so it will work for me. After varnishing it looks much nicer.Update: I have had this a week and it has already cracked in two places just sitting there.
