the product was plz. I've never used a grid so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it did the job. I wanted to cover up a leak in our room with a water heater. I was told that mice could go through the hole and didn't want that to happen so I used that to plug the hole. I have a few left and am looking for another reason to use it. The product is durable but made of plastic. The only thing I didn't like or was prepared for was that it was sharp on the cutting edges and I cut my finger on it. I assume the whole grid will be the same.
