February 2021 Review: If you buy this unit and plug it into your car and it won't turn on (LED off) it's because you plugged in the wrong end. The narrow side of the cable (USBC end) MUST BE CONTAINED IN THE KEY BOX. The other large side (USBA end) should go into your machine. If your car only has a USBC connector (like a modern Mercedes with MBUX), you will need to buy a separate USBA female to USBC male adapter like this one here https://www.amazon.com/nonda-Adapter-Thunderbolt -Aluminum- Indicator/ dp/B015Z7XE0A/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=usba+to+usbc+adapter&qid=1613532730&sr=8-9 I am happy to confirm that this product works great with 2021 MBUX, at least on my Mercedes GLC !
