I love that it has all round protection including a screen protector. Material - polycarbonate. It feels like a mix of rubber and plastic. I used to buy Otter Box treads and the outer shell was more like rubber which I like better. As for cost (bang for the buck), I don't think you can go wrong here. We swap out phones every 2-3 years so I don't spend a lot of money on these cases anymore. I was hesitant at first, but after receiving it, it must be a keeper.
