I think you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for with this lamp. It works and the picture was fine, but the number of hours this lamp was on was a fraction of the hours the original lamp was on. Not sure if this is due to the lower quality of the lamp, but the color wheel freezes and the picture completely discolors after using the TV for a few minutes to an hour. However, as soon as I set the lightbulb to default brightness {instead of bright} in the settings, this stopped happening. When I tried setting it back to Vivid, the color wheel soon froze, and as soon as I changed it back to Default, the color wheel continued spinning with no problem. I'll probably know if that's because of the inferior lamp when I get a new Osram OEM lamp and try to set it to bright.
