These heatsinks are ideal for cooling traditional SSDs. They are the same length (100mm) and two of them fit easily on the SSD case. I installed them this way using Sywon's professional thermal tape, the double-sided cooling tape for chipset LED heatsinks, 20mm x 25m. A simple and inexpensive way to keep SSD temperatures down during long writes. In my case the difference is about 5 degrees Celsius. I used the same tape to install one of these receivers on an M.2 SSD. They're smaller than the sink, of course, so stick out over the motherboard and look awkward, but they do the job there. Of course, I could trim it down to the right length beforehand, but the larger the area of the fins, the better.
