My daughter is 11 months old and I bought her when she was 9 months old. Size 6-12 months is still a bit big for her but her feet seem smaller than average. She likes to take off her shoes so they don't stay on for long and she can easily remove the velcro. Velcro is already very worn out, because she tears them off and likes to gnaw on shoes. However, the skin has held up to the chewing and they still look beautiful. Non-slip soles are good when she's learning to walk
