, the only way to reliably manage macros is to use the iCUE software (download size over 1GB, inexplicable). However, iCUE is designed to run anything that changes color on your computer, fan speed, anything based on motherboard sensors, etc. This means it's very invasive (totally not in line with the company's security policies ). The executable resides here and is idle in my large setup, consuming over 2% of a 4.5GHz 4 core process on average, with the remote service consuming >1% more. There is absolutely no excuse for being able to run some macros. I tried programming the keyboard and replacing it with another non-iCUE installation, but the keyboard macros didn't survive the new installation. The macros are obviously stored in the software and not in the keyboard firmware. A terrible leap back for the absolute best non-mechanical keyboard on the market. I'm sending them back now but I don't know what to do as I don't know of any other alternative. Such a shame. I've attached screenshots for reference.-------------------- I bought my first keyboard 2 years ago, I especially like the macros for alt+h+w in Outlook to mark emails as read/unread. The first keyboard just died, had a hard life, I ordered two more for my two computers. Both new keyboards have the same problem on both computers (personal and work); I've tried a master reset, windows update drivers and everything I can think of except software other people use. Basically when I save a macro on one of the macro keys it opens my system properties, powerpoint and does something that opens 10 browser windows on office.microsoft.com and asks for my office key. If I didn't know better, I would have thought these keyboards were infected with firmware, but that's a pretty decent stretch. You really have something wrong with the default firmware, that's wrong. I really want to keep these keyboards but if I can't fix them with EOD tomorrow I'll have to send them back.
