These headphones worked reasonably well, playing music clearly and not letting any outside noise through. Everything was fine until I needed service. I bought an extended warranty and that may have caused some of my problems. I contacted customer service and since it was covered under both the original and extended warranties it initially took a week and a half before they finally told me to ship it to their facility in Laredo, Texas. I did it promptly. It was supposed to be an exchange and they were supposed to send a replacement after receiving my broken broken headphones. It's been over a month and two weeks since I first contacted Sony for support. I have contacted them many times each time only to be forwarded multiple times and after receiving the actual facility in Laredo I am asked to either leave a message and they will call you back (I have never been called back) or I actually get a live person and as soon as i tell them my number they hang up. I then call back and tell the main customer service team what just happened and they apologize and tell me they are filing a report but nothing happens there either. I hope this helps if you are considering buying them. I also have a pair of Shure 115s and they had an issue that required a replacement and Shure took care of it in less than a week after I shipped them until I got a replacement.
