I bought these and a pair of classic baya crocodiles for my 19 month old. She tried both and the Baya clog was the clear winner. They fit tighter at the top and sides of the foot than clogs (also a classic model). They have been seen side by side with a narrower midfoot (elevation) hole than the Bai clogs. My daughter obviously kept pointing to the tip of her toe that something was wrong, and several times a few days apart, she indicated that she felt uncomfortable in that spot, and she kept reaching for the shoe. I have to say that despite her 35% weight she has a particularly fat little foot. and only kai run and carter's shoes (which are wider than pediped and striderite) fit her. Aside from the slimmer fit, the outsole, heel, and toe have a classic fit, and the material used has the same thickness and semi-rigidity as classic clogs (and better, in my opinion). The strap on the back also has the classic material thickness and width and is about one size smaller than the back of the clog, so that the clog can be worn longer. I bought them a size 7 although my daughter is a size 6 at Carters and See Kai Run and they fit well enough that she can walk comfortably but still has room to grow. I also bought them in model 6 but their toes were right in front of the clog. Due to the slimmer fit I would classify them as a "half size" clog compared to classic clogs or classic bayas.
