This laptop cooling pad is the best. It's soft on the bottom so it won't cut into your feet. It has a curve so it is breathable even when thrown over the legs. It's practically silent. And this one replaces the identical one I bought in 2011. And I'm sure it helped extend the life of my laptop, even around 2011. If that isn't longevity and longevity then I don't know what is. And it has taken its share of the abuse; a fall squeezed into a travel laptop bag and a cat attack that doesn't happen again. It uses one of your USB ports, but I can think of a lot dumber things I've seen that take up USB ports.
