This is my first juicer so I don't have anything that compares to the machine. However, I had a lot of fresh juices and the juice this thing makes is on par with what you get at a fresh juice bar. I've been using it for over a week now making beetroot, carrot, ginger, apple juice and the juice comes out pretty good. The car came in its original packaging with no defects. It is very easy to assemble, use and clean. I'm not exactly sure what wet or dry means in relation to the meat, but the meat seems pretty dry to me. I noticed that the setting you use makes a difference. Setting 2 is too high for apples and will actually finish your apples before they are effectively pressed, but that's the operator's fault, not the machine's fault. I tried juicing the pulp the first few times I used the machine after seeing people doing it in juicing videos, but aside from the apple bits that disappeared after I started juicing at level 1, I think the pulp is quite dry because there is no more juice. The machine seems to run pretty quiet, especially compared to my neighbor whose juicer makes the sound of an airplane landing. I mean, I wouldn't run it if there was a fussy kid sleeping in the next room, but it makes root vegetable juice, so I expect some noise. I am very happy with this car. It's a lot cheaper than some of the more established brands and works as intended. It's quite an eye catcher too and goes well with my red themed kitchen.
