My daughter (8) asked for an embroidery project after she saw me working on mine and after some googling I came across this series and gave it a try. I had to show her how to thread the needle (including tricks on how to keep all the loose strands together) and watch her a bit while she gets used to the stitch patterns, but now she's made three of them and we're starting another one. complex project in the near future. This is a hard plastic canvas using a large plastic needle (not sharp) and acrylic yarn that is pre-cut. It also comes with some sort of frame with a cut out at the top so it can be easily hung on a nail. Great and simple product.
