After another year of suffering with the iPad between a terrible keyboard that didn't work 80% of the time and Wi-Fi it needs to be turned on will turn off 3-5 once an hour because that would only cut the signal I decided it was time to go ahead and look for something more reliable and a lot cheaper and that led me to a Chromebook that gave me this particular one Liked model but didn't want to spend $600 on it and that led me to this refurbished model I was hesitant to buy a refurbished model but was held between the money back guarantee and the $56 2 year warranty I thought it worth a try as the total cost including tax was still over $100 less than the new price before tax or warranty It arrived yesterday 4 clear days early than planned. It was packaged well, and when I looked at it, I could have sworn it was a brand new Chromebookβno footprints, not even fingerprints. concerning. Plugged it in to charge and found there was about 65% left, so it's time to explore. I was able to find all of my finance apps and most other apps that I use regularly. Of course, I don't think this can replace the iPad for the power user, but it's perfect for me, and I think it would be perfect for the 75% of frustrated Apple users who are fed up with all the hassles of their perceived failure to have. safe expensive device. . The WiFi speed is faster than my iPad. I have a 500MB up/down service. My Ipad rarely went over 300, was mostly around 200 - if it worked at all. The first test on this Chromebook is 454 down/502 up. Websites load at lightning speed. I was able to quickly sync it to my Samsung S20 Ultra and now I can access and respond to all my texts on my Chromebook. It even has a Steam app, so hopefully I can play some of my PC games here, although I haven't had time to check it out yet. It paired seamlessly with my Samsung headphones, and the built-in Chromecast worked flawlessly with my Samsung TV. All my remote apps are available except LG ThinkQ but I only have an LG induction oven and their app wasn't that "hot" so to speak for that use anyway and my BHyve app for my sprinkler but I can get them over run the internet. The backlit keyboard works great and the keys are comfortably spaced. The trackpad is amazing! Works better than anything I've ever used, including my son's $2,500 gaming laptop. The screen is bright and sharp, and the touchscreen works great, as does the touchscreen keyboard. All in all it was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it. Anyone looking for a cheap laptop for school or home.
