thin, scratchy, but no problem for the Mac Book Pro
The thinnest I could find (0.03 inch = 1.1 mm). It doesn't slide left/right very smoothly, it's a bit rough. However, it stays closed and doesn't damage the bezel under the mouse, probably because I have a rubberized handguard that cuts out under the mouse. See photo.
