So far, so good. But plan to read the 100-page overly detailed manual and put up with "meh " ringtones.

As for the Phome setup guides, this one has almost 100 pages of overly detailed instructions. Customizing this phone system to your liking is not for the impatient. But once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. This phone has many good features. So far it's doing everything as promised, but like most feature-rich phones, pressing the menu button more times than you'd like to access the feature you want seems to be the default. What's good: -- Everything seems to be working as promised. -- I like the lock feature. This time I gave up on Panasonic because of the 1000 blocked numbers feature on this TV. Unlike some other phone systems, phones carry some weight, which is a good thing. They're a decent size too. - The Star List is a new feature that allows you to identify businesses or healthcare providers that are being called by robots with reminders of upcoming appointments. Because caller extensions change frequently, you can enter the name that appears in the caller ID in the star list without entering the number. -- You can customize the permissions list. These are the numbers that you are allowed to call but should not take up space in your phone book. What's not so good? Phone chargers are too light and easily tip over when the phone is in a sitting position. Fear of the handset falling to the ground and breaking into pieces led me to place the chargers away from any movement or vibration, which is uncomfortable but not the end of the world. The reddish color probably wasn't the best choice for the backlight. . I found it glaring and moved the phone in my hand to see the text letters on the keys. - Trouble Alert: Ringtones range from Terrible to Terrible to Terrible. The choices seem secondary to an otherwise good system. Let's face it, barely bearable ringtones are a daily nuisance, so anyone who decides to go with this phone system's options should be sent to the company woodshed and flogged. But the only penalty I can offer is a demotion from 5 to 4. But hey, at least I did my part.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
