Bought this backpack to take my 8kg dog on vacation. We wanted to walk most of the way, but many of the parks we visited didn't allow dogs. We couldn't leave our dog alone in the house we stayed in so this was the perfect way to take her! It seemed comfortable in the pack (no resistance getting into the pack and didn't squirm much inside), and the crossed shoulder straps were helpful for my own comfort. We carried the backpack so that my dog was in front of us. My dog's biggest discomfort was the hole his head was sticking out of - he seemed bothered by the swaying as I walked, so I put a hand under his neck on most of our hikes. The pockets were big enough to hold a water bottle, his leash and some food. All in all great design!
