I originally ordered an XL based in bust measurements in the chart, but when it arrived realized it was way too big, so returned (no questions asked) for a size L- which fits just fine. The dress is loose fitting overall and covers a multitude of lumps and bumps but is pretty flattering and a good length and weight for summer casual/ moderately dressy wear - happy with the purchase and would order another except for longer delivery times to Canada.
