Revealing negative reviews: TRUE

I haven't written a review in years; It's something I don't do anymore. However, I feel I have to give this product some credit after seeing some of these negative reviews. I almost didn't buy this product due to some complaints but now I'm glad I bought it. Many complaints from negative reviews are wrong! MYTH 1: Paper towels tear when dispensed. The hole is sharp. TRUTH: Look at my photo above, the hole is completely rounded, including the inside. If your paper towels are torn, you've either overstuffed them due to too much compression, or you have flimsy paper towels that are too big. I bought a Pacific Blue Select (model 21000). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YK2KSM/ Also, I would HIGHLY recommend multi-fold towels instead of C-fold. C-fold towels do not fold like multiple times. Unlike layered towels, C-fold towels do not pop out when one of them is removed; each towel must be "digged up" and allowed to tear. If you buy standard size towels (9.2" x 9.4") they will fit PERFECTLY through the hole, although larger towels will still fit. You overfill it enough that there is compression preventing the key from turning on top. MYTH 3 (opinion): This dispenser is not built for heavy use or looks cheap. TRUTH: This dispenser exceeded my expectations. I was expecting thin metal. It's actually pretty hard steel. The surface isn't fake anyway; Real stainless steel inside and out. Even the wall anchors have stainless steel screws. A NOTICE. I tested this dispenser very full and almost empty. I have never had towels fall out (only tested with reusable towels).
