Experience of using about a week. Before that, I used a MacBook Pro 15.4 (2022, i7, 16 RAM, 256 GB hard drive) for 2 years. I compare first of all with it. The usual mode of operation for applications running simultaneously: Outlook, Excel, Word, Mozilla / Safari, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Citrix, Parallels / TeamViewer, WhatsApp, Skype, Teams. The old Mac was a fiery one with regularly running coolers (especially in video conferencing with screen sharing over Skype). It's just unpleasantly burning and noisy. But the new one - at least something . Cold, like the weather outside the window now .))) It’s just that it doesn’t heat up at all and doesn’t make noise. The screen is soooo cool! + ideal ratio for working with documents and code. And in conjunction with the second monitor is generally wonderful! The only problem is the inability to use Windows (you need Windows for ARM architecture) even through virtual machines. At work, I often need to use Windu (where an enhanced EDS or SAP GUI is needed). The solution is simple - I put a separate computer on Windows and connect to it via TeamViewer periodically. The keyboard is much better and more convenient and comfortable. Of the inconveniences - this is a black keyboard substrate - the keys are not visually separated and are not distinguishable by peripheral vision, so sometimes I miss the right keys. For those who doubt whether to change the old Mac to Intel for M1 - a definite recommendation! Just a new level! A gun! Race! + The rate has grown again and I think it will continue to grow.
