Review on EcoPure EPWHEF Replacement Certified Tasting by Draven Louton

I have had three different water filter systems for my whole house. Two were of the "floor wrap" type and the third looked like a water softener. This third mistake was a costly mistake for many reasons. In the end, it just introduced a chemical imbalance into household water and caused more problems than it solved. No, they wouldn't let me return it. The other two were the main PIAs when it came time to unscrew the bowl and swap out the filter cartridge. Despite applying plumber's silicone grease to both the o-ring and the shell threads, I inevitably had to put an extension on the included tool and pull hard to crack the shell. No, I didn't overtighten the cup at all. The second O-ring has burst and is leaking. Yes, it was installed AFTER setting the room pressure controller to 60#s. It happened while we were at home and I caught it within 5 minutes. I'm lucky, aren't I? I installed EcoPure about a month ago and so far so good. Why did I buy it? The cartridge replacement design was unlike anything else on the market. In fact, the whole design was unique and simple. I had no problems installing it and it showed that it actually works. The ice cubes are more transparent than ever. water tastes better. There are only two of us in the house so the cartridge should last at least six months as stated. Cartridges are sold at a local big store or I can buy them here. If you asked me if it's worth buying, I'd say yes. I will never buy a turntable again. No news is good news. If anything goes wrong with this device I will come back here and let you know. But so far so good.
