Ohuhu contacted me after my review below. They have since replaced the easel which was not working. The new one seems to work - the locks hold the legs in an extended position. I am pleased with the quick response from the company. I would say that easels have a nice look, but I would recommend that they are best for occasional use and not for heavy or very large items. I ordered an easel from another brand, slightly more expensive, and had problems with it too. For those who want a sturdy, reliable easel, I'd say you're better off in the $100 range. she very often, I thought, I could do with a cheaper thing. I definitely expected them to work the first time. Bought a set of two easels. An easel worked, although it was awkward to set up and felt unstable in place. The second easel was useless. There are clips on the legs that allow you to raise and lower the height. Clips don't hold. I set the correct height, but as soon as pressure or weight was applied to the easel, the legs just closed. I need to see if they can be returned. I've traveled so much this summer that I just haven't looked into it this summer. I would not recommend them nor would I buy them again.
