Excellent beginner kit; order individual inks!

Let's start by saying that I am very satisfied with the quality of the set. I already had my own ink as I saw previous reviews not liking the quality of the ink included in the kit. I tested the black and red colors included in the kit and wasn't blown away, so ended up using my own ink. Watch plenty of videos before attempting to set up a gun, as you don't want to be messing around with a gun or needle in unsterile conditions if this is your first time. I removed the plastic wrapping from the spools and tried to loosen the screws but found that they were glued on so I couldn't remove the backing plastic/paper wrapping on the back of a spool. The instructions for the kit also do not specify which end of the power supply to attach to the gun, so FYI the black attachment goes to the tip of the gun and the red attachment goes to the gold. However, once it was connected properly, there was enough power. I touched up some of my existing tattoos and made a new one which took about an hour. I really like the end results. Don't forget to shave the tattoo area properly and apply petroleum jelly/wipe off the ink and isolate the tattoo after you're done! Hygiene is the key. (These photos were taken AFTER I finished the tattoo - always wear gloves). I'll go ahead and use my Tattoo Goo routine and see how they fare after the initial healing and exfoliation. After 15 years of tattooing I wanted to see what "starter kits" are - not bad but I say go to a professional if possible and even if it seems expensive.
