I followed all the instructions for this item including going outside and turning it on for 15 minutes and letting burn off the residue. I kept it for an extra 5 minutes plus let it cool down once completely burned off the coating. Brought it back inside and the next time I turned it on the smell continued which the directions say it should not! I got in contact with the company and they have been gracious in helping with the issues. They are committed in helping resolve the problem.
