I have been teaching art for over twenty years and I have seen a number of students show incredible attention to illustrative detail. This little tip is not for beginners. They break if you look at them the wrong way. This is for those who have a very light and controlled touch. The artist can do magic with this tip. I wish they were there when I first started teaching art, and I can remember two specific alumni who probably still use them today. Once upon a time I would have put these pens in their dirty little talented hands. Now I get them as a special treat for students who want to bite into a very detailed project. I'm also saving a few for my little OCD pen and ink. It seems I was an engraver in a past life ;)
