UPDATE: You can replace the water bottle immediately. The hamster chewed on the plastic hamster that comes with the cage :(I'll be posting a review in a bit which I'd love to read - it would make the cage decision MUCH quicker and easier! We had my daughter's teddy bear hamster at the Kaytee Crittertrail 2 Habitat The hamster kept running and just wasn't happy about it even though he added extra fixtures for more space.This new habitat is amazing because it has lots of space and a clear view of the burrows and an extra level for feeding etc. The only problem is that she is small - only 11" tall - and likes to climb. She clearly needed a little more room to walk around. I struggled to add a Kaytee tube to the cage. This cage wide tube Tiny Tales This is the only one Brand that attaches to the mouth of the cage Once on, any snorkel will fit in the attachments It took too long to get the h to figure it all out. but we are all very happy with the finished product. pretty satisfied!
