Update five months later: Kettle still boils well but one star deducted because the kettle is now leaking. The interior is still intact; I think when I pour the water out there has to be a spot where the spout meets the body of the kettle where the water collects and then flows out the bottom of the body. The spout is part of the outer wall and the filter/hole section is part of the inner wall, so the seal between them must be broken or open. I have to use a limited power kettle but not sure if I should order another one or the all metal version as the spout looks different. This is a great kettle if you only need a couple of kettles. cups of water or something. It can be a bit noisy at the top, but it passes quickly. (It's not sedation or anything - it's just noticeable.) The auto shut-off works well, and as long as it gets warm outside it doesn't seem to be that bad (though honestly I won't). standing and reaching for a teapot with boiling water in it, except for the handle). The only thing I really noticed is that it's fine if you just boil water with the kettle filled to the max mark, but if you clean the inside of the kettle with boiling water and vinegar and it's ok to the max fill, then it will boil over and cook away. So if you use boiling vinegar for cleaning, keep this in mind. Delivery was surprisingly quick, the kettle is smart and compact. It has 1000W, so it can be used in rooms where there is a need to limit power consumption.
