A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

In contrast to the MX Anywhere 2 and 2S, I can say that I have been waiting for a normal fully-fledged inertial mechanism, like the Masters, for a considerable amount of time now. In addition, the newly developed electromagnetic mechanism has a very pleasant feel to it during interaction and can also be modified. In addition, the software of the mouse was improved, as follows: - individual macros for each individual application putting an electromagnet on a wheel as part of an assembly - Logitech Flow (now available immediately) The only thing I came across were triggers, which are used to initiate specific actions. to. Because I typically control the volume with the side mouse buttons, I have developed a habit of depressing and holding one of those buttons in order to immediately lower the volume or gradually raise it. However, in this instance, the trigger was the release of the button (KeyUp), which meant that holding the side button wasn't an option because it was the trigger. However, the decision came about in an unexpected manner: at first, the KeyDown event (that is, the trigger for pressing the button) was set aside for tracking the launch of the horizontal scrolling mode. When this was disabled, everything fit perfectly and the trigger worked as it should have, which allowed me to use the functionality that was already familiar to me at the maximum volume. It is convenient that this functionality is built into the software. My utmost respect goes out to Logitech. The only thing that is not yet clear is how often and how much dirt will get on the ribbed side surface, but it still appears to be quite concise, and this matte gray color fits the K780 keyboard even better. It is true that the wheel gestures to the right and left have been eliminated; however, I do not make use of these features, and I believe that doing so may be detrimental to the mouse's mechanical integrity from an engineering standpoint. But that is in no way relevant to the discussion at hand. However, the functionality to mechanically move the entire mechanism of the wheel to the right and left simply did not fit into this form factor and was retained only in the Master series. There is also an electromagnetic motor at the wheel, which excludes changes in the position of the wheel in space horizontally due to a violation of the magnetic field. Therefore, in light of these considerations, any and all novel approaches are fantastic for a device that is intended to be as portable as possible.

Pros
  • - more responsive tactile interaction with buttons - new matte design - electromagnetic wheel with two modes and the ability to press it like a standard middle mouse button (finally) - charging via USB Type-C -
Cons
  • - There is an interaction that is not always immediately apparent when configuring the mouse using the official software
