Well if you have a very active toddler and live somewhere where they have access to dirt/mud they can climb rocks basically makes shoes hard, shoes can wear out as others have mentioned.

BUT, our little one loves these shoes and I can tell the difference in how he walks and plays in them, I think it livens up his step 😄 They are sooo cute too and they go with all his outfits. It's a good thing we have them, although they're worn out, that's what they're there for!
