Another add-on board on top of the already high-quality HMD

The fact that it's not just included in the wireless bundle and sold separately for $60 offends those of us who decided and bought the Vive Pro HMD. But that's what it is. You pay for the required cable, a clip-on adapter that screws into the adapter that comes with the wireless kit, and a pillow. It's not much for the price and it doesn't even say Monster. However, he does what he has to do. Be sure to remove the face cushion to install the cable and gently pry the plastic piece on the side for easy plug-in access.
