This food was a life saver for us when my cat who suffered from chronic diarrhea for a long time also got chronic blood in his stool . It really scared me. I wanted it to be on a low phosphorus diet and I've tried a few grain-free varieties. That was until I got him on this Now! Grain free constantly to eliminate diarrhea and blood. (I add water along with the granules because otherwise it can cause excessive dehydration). On the other hand, feeding only this food - even with the addition of water - led to constipation in Fritz. Too much good? So I started feeding him this meal alternating with Soulistic Tuna & Chicken in Gravy. It kept pooping regularly until he started wrinkling his nose at Soulistic. Then we started chronic constipation. He also had dandruff. I'm currently experimenting with some Weruva chicken cutlets to see how it works. I'm also now adding some potassium and another supplement that has more B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. Things seem to be getting better the last few days :) I hope this continues. It looks like a great food when you need to heal some chronic digestive issues. I don't know if anyone else had constipation problems with this meal.
