Review on Dell S2340M - 23 Inch LED Lit Monitor with 1920X1080 Resolution, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and High Definition - ‎293M3 Model by Damon Williamson

This is a phenomenal monitor for the price. It has a VERY glossy screen that looks great in low light. Even in my room with reflected sunlight (not direct), there's a lot of glare on the screen. Other than that, I don't use my monitor for work, I mainly use it for surfing the web and watching videos. So I put up with reflections for that purpose as the display quality is amazing. Reflections aren't as noticeable when the background is mostly white or when playing videos. They are more visible when the background is still and darker. If you like glossy screen monitors read the other reviews, I don't think you will be disappointed. PS: The only calibration I did right away was to increase the brightness from 75 to almost 100 (I love bright). The colors are already looking great. Text is clear and legible, images are sharp, and contrast is good. The design of the monitor itself is very slim and light. Very nice! Here are my only two negative points about this monitor: 1. The control buttons are on the right side of the monitor (not the front) and are difficult to access where my monitor is mounted. I don't understand why monitor manufacturers feel the need to hide the buttons, just put them on the front, I don't care what they look like, at least the power button if nothing else! 2. The DVI connector is in a very awkward place on the back of the monitor. If you are using an HDMI cable with a DVI adapter on your monitor, you will NOT have enough space to connect. I had to buy an HDMI to DVI cable without an adapter to make the connection and even that was the ONLY thing that fit. You could definitely find a DVI connection to make it more accessible. These are just two minor issues, not enough to deduct a star. I love this monitor!
