I only bought this because it has room for pliers. I hate serving with an ice bucket because people always leave tongs in the ice which is unsanitary. Well, while it seems reliable - you have to pull the tongs out with one hand while holding the lid with the other hand, add ice to the jar, put the lid back on, put the tongs back into the lid. BRIGHT. But no. People just left the lid open and the tongs in the bucket. Even with the lid closed for 2 hours, there was still ice in the bucket. And in the morning the ice melted, but the water was cold. At night the house was about 80 degrees. Very good insulation and in time I will teach everyone how to use the ice bucket hygienically.
