Exact Match 1997 F150 XL
I have a 1997 F150 XL with a standard 4x4 cab. This cap will definitely replace the old one, even with cord and padding. This plug is for owners who have a screw on gas tank neck. After July 1997 Ford switched to a two-stroke cover and this cover will NOT fit cars manufactured after that date. I bought the cap to get rid of the check engine light that comes on constantly when I fill up.
