**Updates** I've been using them for about 3 weeks. It is more of a water shield than a water shield. Water still penetrates, but not too much, which is cute and very comfortable. I've used it a few times when I'm in the shower, there's not a lot of water but it's not as thick as the picture but it's light so I'm ok with that. You need to make the band by yourself, but not like the picture, that's not the shape of the band. These are just two pieces of fabric that you can knit however you like.
