I'm in love with this bag. I wouldn't go with purple until I saw the reviewer's photo and it's a lot better than the purple hue in the product shots. The color is more lavender, almost denim. I'm so glad I didn't get Corporate Gray or Stray Black. The long needle holder is sold separately but fits perfectly in the zipped pocket, while the patch pocket offers space for another set of needles. Inside there are intermediate yarn compartments that hold 3 small yarns in 3 slots or 1 big ball each, plus storage sleeves opposite and center compartment. And on the back of the bag is my other set of needles, or you can cut out projects or a pattern book. You can take him on a great knitting journey. I like the spaciousness without taking up too much space and not taming the threads falling out of the bag. I hope this doesn't break my needles (my track record). If you need a yarn bag, this is it. My entire yarn bag and 2 complete sets of needles and a 3rd set of long needles are in there, plus ongoing projects. What is missing is yarn that already has a home. The outside can be washed, not easy to get dirty. It is very light and unbreakable.
