I thought I wouldn't like this timer because the numbers can only be increased, not decreased. So if you miss the setting, you'll have to start over. Also, because the display dims after you set it, you can't just look at the timer to see how much time you have left. I actually don't like this timer because the two small metal magnets on the back of mine are glued at an angle, creating two small sharp edges that scratched my stainless steel hood. The timer is not entirely unusable. But not good.
