I purchased this toy as a Christmas present for my niece's daughter who is a year and a half old and is starting to talk. I thought that it would be fun to leave the toy in the "on" position as I wrapped the gift, so that it would start talking when she opened the gift. When I placed the toy under the Christmas tree, it picked up all of the conversations in the room and started repeating all of them! We had to place the toy on the porch in order to get some peace! This toy is very sensitive to sound.
