Useful information! I read in many reviews that this mouse falls asleep after a short time and cannot be woken up by moving it; I've found that it can be woken up, you just need to ROLL the scroll wheel. Now when he falls asleep, I just scroll through him and he wakes up immediately. Before I had this knowledge, the mouse would often fall asleep and I couldn't wake it up until I turned it off, waited 5-10 seconds, and turned it back on - and it didn't work all the time. So annoying! I think the manufacturer didn't make this alarm function obvious enough. The mouse is cute. I loved him from the moment I saw him. It takes two AAA batteries, and the headlights glow blue when in use, albeit unevenly. You slide off the top to access the batteries, then slide them back in. Includes a standard USB transmitter and a slot for it next to the batteries. After a month of use I haven't had to change them. My experience (besides falling asleep)? Works like a mouse, yes. My hand adapted very quickly to the new shape of the mouse and the shape of the machine never bothered me. To be honest, the difference doesn't seem that big to me. But after about a month or so I noticed it was a bit buggy. The latest development is that when the mouse is on but I'm not touching it, the cursor sometimes starts to slowly move diagonally. This also happened a few times while I was using it, interfering with precise clicking. I also noticed a lag yesterday when using Minecraft, I pressed once and it stayed pressed for too long. It could have been a computer glitch, I'm not sure - I have a 3 year old computer with 12GB RAM and an AMD Radeon R6 graphics card and I also had Chrome open. I can't say much about durability. I dropped it once and it hit the deck - and let's say it hit the deck HARD, maybe a meter high - and lost both of its right wheels. The small parts that hold the tires are broken and I don't know how to fix them. Seems a bit cheap; I'm guessing I just paid how much, $12 or $15 for it? But disappointing as I can't find any of the hubcaps. Although I believe I could work with this mouse if I had to, and although I like the design, I ultimately decided to purchase a different mouse. As a graphic design student, I spend a lot (!) of time on the computer. I value precision and efficiency when working with Adobe programs like Adobe AfterEffects, and this mouse just doesn't do it for me. I was only going to give it 2 stars but one day I discovered the alarm function which improved it by one. I think my VW bug mouse must have noticed that I was buying a new mouse and got really nervous because I've never seen it bugged like it did when I went shopping!
