I bought these to make a bell for my pup to ring when she needs to go outside. I used a tennis ball, made two slits at each end, and pulled thick yarn through. Then I threaded several of these bells and tied them to the twine on each side at different intervals. She tied the top together and hung it on the door. She was trained in one day. The bells aren't very loud but I only used 4 and I can add a few more bells to make it a little louder. Maybe if they are strung with extra loops of yarn for hanging and when she hits the ball they wobble a bit and maybe hit each other,
