Works very well. The loofah is most likely used to add volume/space to the bag or to help distribute the water. Our city is really chlorinating and it helps a lot. A plastic zipper ran through the neck of the bag and can (and probably should) be cut off to fit. A "bag of beads" is a filter. My hair is much easier to comb and I have no problems with my autoimmune disease with this chlorine filter. I recommend this product. If the water comes from above, try moving it up or down more depending on the shape of your faucet, and also pull out the fabric valve. Good.
